“The Road Diverged in Wood”, is a symbolic representation of the importance of nature. The title of the work is a reference to Robert Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken”. An American transcendentalist, Frost aligned his view’s with the core belief of transcendentalism, the inherent goodness of people and nature. My photograph pays homage to this philosophy. Perhaps you don’t have the time to notice the birds calling, the bees buzzing or enjoy the colors of the changing seasons. The pressures of daily life cause people to grow increasingly detached from natural wonders. By returning to our natural surroundings, humans can fully appreciate life’s offerings unencumbered.
