Much of my artwork is influenced by spiritual beliefs, the inevitability of death, and the occult. Objects like talismans, charms, icons, and tarot cards have always fascinated me. The Tarot is used by a reader to divine a seekers situation and hopefully suggest a path forward.  Even if they contain no magic, the illustrations on the cards all suggest a narrative in the intricacy of their details.
The work submitted is my version of the STAR, the 17^th card in the tarot’s Major Arcana.
The Star brings hope, renewed power, and strength to carry on with life. It shows how abundantly blessed you are by the universe as evidenced by the various things around you.This card is a message to have faith, for the universe will bless you and bring forth all that you need.
