My work is painterly and mixed media. I am influenced by nature and paint many landscapes and still life themed pieces. I also paint figuratively, both realistically and stylistically. I have a large series of “Storybook Women” influenced by the style of children’s book illustrations, but telling the real story of women. These pieces are acrylic paintings textured with paper weaving and collage.
My landscape and still life work are done in acrylic and water color. I am drawn to woodland, swamp and garden scenes. My style might be considered impressionistic/ expressionistic . I favor fluid line and soft texture and light.
