My artistic journey is intertwined with personal experiences and reflective contemplation. It all began when I chanced upon discarded seeds from various fruits and vegetables while preparing a meal. The hidden potential within these seemingly insignificant seeds intrigued me, compelling me to rescue and nurture them. Planting these seeds in a corner of my backyard, I witnessed their remarkable metamorphosis – from delicate sprouts to vibrant blooms and bountiful fruits. This experience opened my eyes to the limitless possibilities within small seeds: they could transform into fields of flowers, expanses of grains, or thriving orchards. I came to
realize that each seed symbolizes both beginnings and fulfillment, fueling my passion to convey this insight through art. Drawing inspiration from this discovery, I have developed my art into four forms.
Firstly, I carefully collect and preserve seeds from the flowers and vegetables cultivated in my yard, encapsulating their beauty and potential within transparent capsules. Secondly, using everyday materials like paper, fabric, and film, I create containers of varied shapes and sizes inspired by seeds, pods, and buds. These containers are arranged directly on the gallery wall with push pins, evoking images of flower fields or vast grain fields.
Thirdly, I craft mobile artworks that capture seeds, pods, flowers, and bubbles gracefully swaying in the wind. These mobile pieces ingeniously combine fabric containers and origami boxes suspended from repurposed copper wire.
Lastly, in my painting and drawing works, I capture the delicate simplicity of the exquisitely swaying mobile, conveying the subtle dance of the air through textured strokes of acrylic paint. Through my creative endeavors, my aspiration is to kindle the imagination of my audience and encourage them to embark on a journey to unveil the boundless potential within these seeming ordinary.
