I am a member of the Highland Park Artist Collective. My main interest is in applying computational photography techniques to making art. Capture of the photonic field by the digital camera with its concurrent encoding as an arrayof ones-and-zeros enables sets of “photographs” and their deconstructions to be used like a palette is used in painting. I call prints painted from this palette “photo(n)ographs.” Photo(n)ographs are used here to make visual statements about climate change, degradation of the environment through commercialization and the loss of the sacredness of the environment as a collateral casualty of technological development.
