The images submitted are part of an ongoing series I call “Getting There.” They share subjects, seen from behind walking away into the night of shadows and reflected artificial light until they and the streets become obscure and abstract. The different light sources at night make ordinary surroundings seem mysterious from the shadows that are cast in many directions. The concrete forms are seen in part, sort of there and not there at the same time, the shadows masking but not changing reality, just our perception of it.
