Years ago, on a visit to the forests of British Columbia, I learned about the practice of something called forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, practiced in Japan. Strolling under a canopy of trees surrounded by the sounds, scents and fresh, aromatic air gave me a sense of wellbeing and connection to something profound. The wonder of the sun dancing through the tree-tops brought me joy. It’s such a good thing.
