“Light The Way,” This diptych features cut paper and vinyl suspended in varying layers of resin to provide an unique depth. Mirrors bounce light back to the viewers in this mixed media piece created in cradled wood panel. Anaïs Nin is quoted, “When you possess light within, you see it externally.” In this series of mixed media art works, I incorporated the use of mirrors and glossy surface textures to reflect light back to the viewer. It is an exploration of the dualities: inner lightness, echoed throughout the heavens and in others. The journey of introspection reveals that when we acknowledge our own inner light, when we are at peace with ourselves,
we find the light in others and all around us.
