People places and things can all be buried underground. It’s a cathartic ritual that can memorialize loved ones and memories or act as a physical step towards letting go. Feelings can also be buried. You shove them so far down inside yourself that they never see the light of day and may as well be six feet under a layer of topsoil. These paintings are from a series called “Anxiety Petit-Fours”, bite sized glimpses into those feelings. Each is a world unto itself, with peaks and valleys of color, illustrating a moment which should be buried and forgotten.
