Curt Harbits – “Wee Dot” hand cut printed paper collage mounted on Fabriano paper

My collage work symbolizes a lifetime of fascination with books and magazines.  I capture parts of the printed image that may have gone unnoticed.  My eyes search for pieces of drama, that once re-moved from the whole, are now free play a new role in my visual theater.The works form through clippings, which are hand cut in random batches. They are joined together by color and spa-tial relationships, a narrative unfolds as the pieces come together. In the end, I want to establish a good quality graphic design that satisfies the eye and hopefull, the mind as well.
