“A Mount Everest of itsy bitsy caricatures, a sea of faces trembling with fragile transiency.”, inkjet prints of ball point and pilot pen on paper, 6 strips 31.5” W x 10.5” H, 2022
Drawing is my salvation. As a kid I drew faces on the walls and on the glossy covers of my mother’s fashion magazines.for decades as an adult I have drawn in public places, on buses and trains, in diners, restaurants and park benches. I drew my coworkers in office meetings, to escape the boredom at long forsaken jobs. Then and now, I draw quickly, The ballpoint and the pilot pen are the friends of my left hand, drawing a contagion of faces which could be crowds of mugshots on a post office wall.
