My love for art began during high school and was mostly contained within the classroom. As time progressed, art snuck its way into my cognition. I now experience an insatiable desire to create, making my hands feel purposeless with the absence of any medium. Feelings of restlessness, migraines and exhaustion are all too welcome in my body during these episodes. But, so are adrenaline rushes and brief contentment. These responses have been coined as “creative compulsions”, a sensation that artists forever experience. Through these pieces, I express the intensity that jolts my brain and body, manifesting itself through pen, marker, colored pencil, and paint. I am forever unsatisfied while eternally captivated by the curiousness and chaos that is my brain “on” art.
