I have often thought of my surroundings, especially the very tall, long ago established, trees. There are some in my backyard and others, seen on various walks that I take. As the seasons change so do these wonderful trees. Now they are barren of leaves and soon when Spring comes, they will awaken and begin a new cycle. Often when I take a photo, I will lie down very close to the tree and point my camera up! A vista surrounds me with majestic trees all growing towards the sun! As I capture these scenes, they are filled with beautiful light! The photo helps me organize my ideas to work with glass. I cut the glass pieces, add more color and dimension. When completed, I put the piece in the kiln and alas, my creative response to Bird’s Eye/Worm’s Eye exhibit.
